Michael Crow, CEO & Founder

Michael has 30 years experience in finance, real estate and banking with Price Waterhouse, Security Pacific Bank, and Dunross Capital. At PW, he structured over $2.1 billion in Real Estate acquisitions for The Government of Singapore, Calishan Group, and General Atlantic. At Security Pacific he was a Senior Vice President and Deputy to the Vice Chairman with responsibility over 13 companies, including the Real Estate and Merchant Banking activities. As a principal investor, and advisor, Michael has acquired and financed more than $200 million in acquisitions and development deals for industrial, multi-family, commercial and single-family development.  Experience includes workouts, restructuring, and distressed loans.

Michael graduated from San Diego State University Honors Program, cum laude. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School OPM, is a CPA and holds a real estate sales license. Member of Harvard Club of New York, Young Presidents Organization, YPO Gold NYC Metro and Northeast Region, Multi-family Housing Association and Mortgage Bankers Association. Michael also holds a Commercial Pilot License and is jet-rated.

David Propis, Managing Director, Special Opportunities/Distressed

David is responsible for analyzing and structuring the Firm’s distressed debt and real estate merchant banking activities. His prior experience includes 25 years in corporate finance, commodities and asset management with Merrill Lynch, Jade Special Strategy, and Agile Opportunity Fund. David’s expertise and work has been in advising, structuring financings and acting as principal investor for public and private companies. He founded and managed two hedge funds doing structured debt financings, with over 125 transactions totaling more than $150 million.

David is a graduate from University of Maryland, College Park with a B.A. degree in Speech and Communications, and also holds a real estate sales license.

Peter Blass, Managing Director, Debt Markets

Peter leads the firm’s Commercial Finance division. His expertise in structured finance, high leverage transactions, GSA Financings, CMBS, Bridge and Mezzanine Loans for all commercial property sectors provides the firm with access to multiple debt options in its investment strategies.

Peter brings over 25 years of real estate finance experience to the team. He has led or participated in over $900,000,000 in real estate financings nationwide. Prior to joining Dunross Capital, he held senior positions at Arbor Commercial Mortgage, Avant Capital Partners, Centerline, Colony Hills Capital and Greystone Capital.

He graduated with a BA from Franklin and Marshall College and received his Master of Science in Real Estate from NYU. He is licensed as a Real Estate Broker in the state of New York.

Thomas Manglaviti, Jr. – Vice President, Acquisitions

Thomas heads up the Property Acquisition team where he is responsible for underwriting all potential multifamily acquisitions, specifically targeting properties in the Southeast. During his career, he has underwritten close to 1,000 potential acquisitions in markets across the United States.

Thomas brings extensive experience in all aspects of the real estate investment process. Previously, he was the Vice President of Acquisitions at Value Partners, a real estate investment firm focusing exclusively on multifamily assets.

Thomas holds an MBA from Bryant University and a BS in Business Management from Providence College.

Simon Leach, Managing Director

Simon is responsible for all asset management and finance of Sureste Partners, LP, an affiliated sponsor in multi-family acquisitions. Simon has over 25 years of experience in marketing, analytics, finance, investment management and direct lending, including over $1.6 billion in direct/online sales, data warehousing and business intelligence for Office Depot. He co-founded Direct Lending Advisors, one of the first institutional funds focused on the crowd lending space.

Mr. Leach’s diverse executive and entrepreneurial experience includes mergers & acquisitions, due diligence, analysis, and strategic planning for real estate and other investments. Simon was born in the UK and is a graduate of London Metropolitan University.
